Why Starvation of Food Doesn't Work for Weight loss

Can skipping of food make me go slimmer? I have always knew that starvation of food doesn't really work for weight loss but when I tell people, they don't listen and go about spending money on unnecessary books, programs or videos that teach them to skip meals so as to lose weight.


A lady told me her experience on skipping of food to lose weight and she realize that she's been suffering herself by fasting, skipping night food and lunch since she want a fast weight loss but everything is working for lost a high amount of money on this.


Losing weight and getting rid of excess fat in the body is good, it makes you fit, and prevent cardiovascular diseases like stroke, high blood pressure, hypertension and many more.

Now, looking at the advantages of weight loss, we search for ways to lose weight like eating of fibers, eating of fruits, drinking more coffee and some fallacies such as skipping breakfast or lunch, or starving yourself of food just because you want to lose weight? All these are not good information because you won't lose any weight and suffer more for it.

The truth about starvation or fasting regime makes you gain more weight, this means you don't have to skip meals but enjoy yourself by eating balance diet rich in nutrients.

Do you know that starvation of diets to lose weight won't make you burn any fat but it only slow down your metabolism or hang the metabolic process to store some calories. All these makes you gain weight, it makes you get tired and sluggish, and you are not losing any weight through this method because you consume more and acquire more calories that won't make you lose weight.




What to do instead of starvation of food? Now that you've seen that starvation isn't working for weight loss, I will recommended you do the following;

1. Eat moderately; if you are to lose weight without starving yourself of food, the first thing or step you need to take is to ensure eat moderately especially fruits and veggies. If you eat moderately without overeating, you will burn more calories in carious ways like increase in physical activities.

2. Feed more of proteins:
In addition to eating well to lose weight, you also need to eat more proteins or increase your protein consumption. Protein foods are foods that help build the body and for general body development. Protein foods produce glucagon which convert protein to glucose required by the body. Proteins also reduce the body cholesterol to soluble fat.


3. Fruits and veggies: instead of starving yourself of diets just because of weight loss, you can eat fruits and vegetables instead. Fruits and vegetables contain minerals and vitamins that increase body metabolism which ensures fat are not stored in the body.

4. Increase exercises: no matter the starvation or fast regime, it doesn't work like that and you may be disappointed you are not losing any weight. But eat moderately and exercise your body more. Exercises like skipping, jogging, running, cycling, speed walking and other sport are the best thing to do to lose weight because exercises helps in circulation of blood all-round the body which increases metabolism, and burn fat rapidly.

5. Walking: Just as we discussed earlier, exercises is good for weight loss. Irrespective of the starvation or skipping of meals, it doesn't work like that and you may be disappointed you are not losing any weight. But eat moderately and exercise your body more by walking exercises which also helps in circulation of blood all-round the body which increases metabolism, and burn fat rapidly.

6. Less sugary foods: some people don't know that sugary foods contributes to weight gain when it becomes too much in the body. This is because the sugar get converted to glycogen which turn out to be a fatty components. To lose weight, you don't need to skip meals but try as much as possible to eat less of sugar.
