8 Foods That Can Help Nursing Mothers Have Flat Tummy

What are the foods that gives flat tummy for nursing mother? This question was received through a regular reader of this blog who just gave birth few months ago and i have decided to make the answer in a post form so that every other women who stumble on this post or reading can as well gain some some useful tummy reduction ideas.

Even if you put to bed some weeks or months back, you can still have a flat tummy and this is one of the best ways to stay healthy and fit after the post birth process. But the breast mothers are influenced by many factors such as laziness, lack of exercise, bad diet, high calorie food, sugar, junks, stress all causes excess fat storage especially in the stomach region and their body keep getting bigger which proof to be difficult after a long period. 

Instead of rigorous exercises which could be difficult for nursing mothers or breastfeeding moms, there are diets or foods that these new moms can eat to have a flat belly. You can also use the food items which are posted below to also maintain weight as well as to maintain a flat stomach even after the baby have stopped breastfeeding.


Many times, excess fat in the body may result to a woman having a big or pot belly especially when the woman lack exercises because these baby fat will definitely make them gain some weight , and these fat can be stored around the stomach area, hips, thigh, boobs and many more. But there are food that can actually help our nursing mothers get rid of belly fat and this helps them to recover fast by maintaining their figure or shape. These flat belly foods includes;

1. Soda Drinks: I noticed women who drink more soda water or soda drinks in a week usually don't have big and what i noticed from experience is that soda water causes reduction in the size of the belly. It means soda drinks or other carbonated drinks do not contain sugar but the gas in them can help aids digestion and burn excess fat in the body. Drinking soda water or drink regularly can help to ensure a small belly size even when the baby stop breast feeding.

2. Vegetables: Vegetables is one of the best food that is recommended for a nursing mother or breast feeding mom anytime. It not only work on the woman but also give the baby fresh look, increased metabolism and it supplies blood to both the mother and child. If any woman need food that can reduce or maintain a flat stomach after childbirth, then the food that should come to your mind is regular intake of vegetable foods. Vegetable contains vitamins and minerals that helps to build the body, aids digestion and prevent weight gain before and after childbirth. There are so many vegetables that are edible, just get some yourself and see the change..

3. Eat Dairy Foods: A breast feeding mom can get actually get rid of belly fat by eating dairy foods which works great without side effect. Dairy foods are known to contain high amount of calcium, lactose, low cholesterol, no sugar and prevent fat accumulation in the stomach. Examples of dairy food includes yogurts, cheese, eggs, milk and many more. It also supplies calcium to both the mother and the baby

Little Alcohol: Another things i noticed when i conducted a survey in a small area on tummy reduction for nursing mother is that is that few bottles of alcohol like vodka, rum or hot drinks causes a considerable reduction in the size of my tummy even after birth which means alcoholic drinks like vodka also helps to get rid of belly fat in women. But one needs to be careful of these drinks so as not to get addicted to it which may cause another bigger problems to the health especially when you know fully well that the baby is going to feed on the breast.


5. Sodium Foods: For nursing mothers, losing belly fat with food or special weight loss diet is good because it brings a fast result when done with little or no exercise. Research claim that a moderate quantity of sodium rich foods like canned foods ( canned sardine, egg, beef, grains, etc) can help to get rid of belly fat and also supply some minerals to the baby that is feeding on the milk of the mom.

6. Eat Fiber Foods: Fiber foods do not contain sugar or salt but contains high amount of fiber and water in it which helps to lose weight and ensure a flattened stomach for every woman either a nursing mother or a single mom/lady. Examples includes cabbage, cucumber, garden egg, salads, papaya, orange, watermelon, etc.These foods increases the body metabolism rate and also fasten digestion process in the body. It means the more a woman eat fiber foods, the less she become fat because these foods don't store in the body.


7. Fruits: Another recommendation a can give for a breast feeding mom or nursing mother who desire to have a flat tummy is for such person to eat fruits as many times as possible in a day. Common foods that gives a flat belly to women anytime when consumed are fruits. Fruits contains Vitamins and minerals that helps to burn calories in the body and around the belly area which makes it flat. Oranges, apple, pineapple, garden egg, strawberry, avocados etc.

8. Water: Don't say because you are nursing a baby or you are a breast feeding mom should give you some courage to start drinking sugary drinks, sugary fruits juice, soft drinks, beer and many more. Water is also good to get a flat belly. Water is essential for weight loss, digestion, metabolism and many more. Avoid drinking excess beer, fat, sugary drinks and replace it with water.   1. In my country, almost all d women have big tummy after childbirth, only a few do maintain their weight due to lack of information.
