Just like we discussed in our previous post, we learn that the condition of allergy is so wide in that we just need to restrict this post to dust allergy alone since we’ve talked about eyes allergy in the previous post. We also need to know what causes dust allergy, how to prevent it and how to cure it and other safety measures we need to know just in case of dust allergy. But in our next post, we will also describing the various prevention and cure of other allergies like food allergy, asbestos allergy, drugs, smoke, fruits, heat, and many more.

What are dust allergies? Dust allergy usually occurs with signs and symptoms like itchiness, catarrh, sneezing, redness and irritated nose accompanied by so much discomfort and pains in the nose area. 7 Things to do in case you are Allergy to Dust

1. Consult your doctor: one of the important things you need to do in case you are suffering from dust allergy is to ensure you see your doctor as quick as possible. The importance of consulting your doctor for this kind of situation is to be sure if you are really suffering experiencing dust allergy and you get diagnosed for it. Some people won’t see their doctor and prefer to do some self medication by buying drugs on their own which is very wrong and it also poses a risk to your health and not your nose or eyes alone. So, you need to get examined by a doctor for better treatments and diagnosis of your nose if you have this..

2.  Change the environments: like I said earlier, when we are discussing eyes allergy the other time, I noticed that what causes nose irritation and nose itchiness which is also known as dust allergy is due to an unclean environment or dusty area. What you need to do in this kind of situation is to leave the environment or the dusty area where you are currently experiencing the reactions. You can also try as much as possible to change the environment by making it clean and less dusty but if you can’t make any change, the leave instantly to prevent this allergies symptoms.

3.  Use Handkerchief/Nose cover: If you are the type that anytime you are in a dusty environment, you start to experience itchy nose and eyes, it means you need to cover your nose often with handkerchief or nose cover. Especially if you are walking along dusty road or you are at a dusty site, you just need to protect yourself by ensuring you cover your nose with your clean handkerchief or nose cover.

4. Clean environments: The kind of environments which is a major factor that should be considered, if you aren’t comfortable with the state of the environment or if the environments is too dusty or smoky, it may result to negative reactions for your nose and the best thing to do is to move to a more cleaner environment free of dust, smoke or other toxic gases.

5. Use hypo-allergenic mattress: even doctors do recommend the use hypo-allergic mattress and pillows because it prevents dust and dust mites from gaining entrance into your nose or eyes. A friend of mine was suffering from dust allergy and when he consulted his doctor, the doctor said he should cover his mattress with thick clothing and ever since he did that, he hasn’t experience the allergies symptoms again.

6. Anti allergic Pills: Another thing to do in case of dust allergy, I will recommend you use anti allergies pills but must be recommended by your doctor or your physician. An example of this is antihistamine pills or you can also find other good nose pills that work well for this purpose.

7. Stay away from smoke/dust: one of the causes of dust allergy is dust and smoke but can easily be taken care of by avoiding dust and smoke generally. You only need to stay away from dusty area, condition and smoke by using handkerchief or clean cloth to cover your nose each time a big truck or bus is passing by along the street, site or where you are.

In Conclusion, these are the things to do if you are suffering from dust allergy.  As discussed above, remember to consult your doctor as soon as possible, use anti allergic pills, you can also use hypo allergic pillows and mattress, use handkerchief and clean cloth to cover your nose, change the environments and make it clean. You also need to stay away from dust and smoke. Thanks for reading.
